The Super Falconets are currently stranded in Instabul, Turkey.
The girls are yet to return to Nigeria following their exit from the ongoing 2022 Under-20 Women’s World Cup.
If you remember that Falconets were unable to advance to the next round of the competition after losing to Dutch side.
Nigeria recorded three wins in their group stage games, finishing top.
Unfortunately, the team was knocked out of the quarter finals of the 2022 Under-20 Women’s World Cup by Netherlands on Sunday.
According to pictures shared online by The Punch, Nigeria's Super Falcons were pictured sleeping on chairs and the floors of the airport in Istanbul, Turkey, on their way back home.
The Super Eagles former media officer, Colin Udoh, who shared the photos on his social media pages said, "Nigeria's #Falconets have been traveling from Costa Rica since 6:30am on Monday.
"They're now in Istanbul on a 24-hour layover and sleeping on the airport chairs and floor, or wherever they can find."
