Nottingham Forest has its first Premier League goal in 23 years thanks to Taiwo Awoniyi. 

25 years old Nigerian striker look to hab opened his goal account for his new club during their match day two fixture.

Taiwo Michael Awoniyi is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Nottingham Forest and the Nigeria national team.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria star joined Nottingham Forest this summer for a club record transfer fee from Bundesliga side Union Berlin.

Taiwo Awoniyi has been handed jersey number 9 at the City ground where they host West Ham United on Sunday Premier League game.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian striker scored the opening goal for Nottingham Forest against David Moyes side in the first half.

The goal happens to be Nottingham Forest first goal in the Premier League since 1999.

The Reds were among the three clubs who gained promotion into the Premier League last season.
