The UEFA Champions League group stage draw for the 2022-23 is expected to be released later Rid afternoon.




UEFA have released the names of the past winners of the UEFA men's player of the year award.

37-year-old Manchester United star, Cristiano Ronaldo is the only player to have won the award three times.

The Portugal international won it thrice while playing for Real Madrid in 2013, 2015 and 2016.



Paris Saint-Germain star, Lionel Messi came closest on two occasions. The 34-year-old Argentine won the award in 2010 and 2014 during his decade spell with Barcelona.

While likes of Andreas Iniesta, Frank Ribery, Luka Modric, Virgil Van Dijk, Robert Lewandowski and Jorginho have all won it once.
