Arsenal breaks record of stadium attendance as they thrashed Tottenham 4-0 in in North London derby in WSL

Arsenal's women record historic ticket sales in the north London derby in Women Super League.

The Gunners thrashed their fellow London rival Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates stadium on Saturday to move top of WSL table.




It was gathered that Arsenal recorded attendance record of 53,737 fans at the stadium, the highest in the history of Barclay's Women Super League. 

The fans showed up on their numbers to support their team as they recorded comfortable 4-0 win over Tottenham. 

It took the Gunners five minutes to take the lead after Beth Mead struck a powerful shot into the right-hand corner.

Arsenal doubled the lead in the 44 minutes after Vivianne Miedema scored her seventh goal of the campaign.

Vivianne loose ball outside the Spurs box before she cooly slotted it into the corner of the net to make it 2-0. 

The third goal came in 54 minutes after Rafaelle’s header from a corner-kick. She meet a corner delivery with a looping header to extend the lead.

Vivianne Miedema brace came in the 68 minutes from a set-piece after she connected her head to Steph Catley cross.
