Barcelona confirms Jules Koundé and Ronald Araujo injuries during their international duties

Barcelona have provided injury update on Jules Koundé and Ronald Araujo who suffered injuries during the international break. 

The two Barcelona defenders are expected to be out for several weeks after they pulled out of action for their respective countries during the week. 

Jules Koundé has impressed since arriving at Camp Nou this summer. 

The French international completed the switch to Barcelona in thr transfer window from Sevilla. He has recorded three clean sheets and three assists in five appearances for Barcelona. 

Reportminds Blog understands that Koundé suffered the thigh injury during France UEFA Nations League clash with Austria on Thursday 22nd September 2022. 

Jules Koundé is expected to miss Barcelona's Champions League clash with Inter Milan at home on October 12, and then the Clasico at the Bernabeu on October 16th .
The club confirmed the injury with the statement which reads: "LATEST NEWS | Tests on Saturday morning have confirmed that Jules Kounde has a biceps femoris injury in his left hamstring. As a result he is unavailable for selection until he recovers" 

Ronald Araujo has become of one the shinning youngsters from Barcelona's academy. 

The 23-year-old defender made his debut into the team in 2019 and has shown great improvement. 

Araujo reportedly sustained the injury during the international duty for Uruguay national team. 
The Barcelona defender injured his thigh in a friendly against Iran and he was taken off less than five minutes into the game.

Ronald Araujo flew back to Spain to undergo tests to determine the extent of his injury.

Barcelona confirmed with the statement, "LATEST NEWS | Tests on Saturday morning have confirmed that Ronald Araujo has a right adductor longus tendon avulsion. As a result he is unavailable for selection until he recovers."
