Meanwhile the game was temporarily suspended after a fan suffered a heart attack.
Barcelona were already in two goals lead before the sad incident happened at the stance.
Cadiz goalkeeper Ledesma brought over a medical kit into the stands for the fan who fell unconscious.
The fan eventually recovered a pulse, was stabilized and taken away in an ambulance.
Following the restart of the game after the condition of the fan has been stabilized, Barcelona added two more goals from Ansu Fati and Ousmane Dembele.
The victory has moved Barcelona to the top ahead of Real Madrid who are expected to face Mallorca tomorrow evening.
Barcelona will now turn their attention to their match day two fixture in the UEFA Champions League when they face Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
