Champions League: Chelsea shares a point against Salzburg as Potter's Reign begins with disappointing draw at the Bridge (Highlights) 2022-23

Chelsea were held to a 1-1 draw against RB Salzburg at the Stamford Bridge on Tuesday Champions League clash.

Graham Potter reign as Chelsea boss didn't start quite well as the fans wanted as they shared the points.

Sterling thought he scored the winner with a curling finish put his team in front, but Okafor ruined Potter's welcome party with 15 minutes to go with the equaliser.

CHELSEA BROKE DEADLOCK WITH STERLING GOAL

Chelsea huffed and puffed all through the game without any threat in their attack not until Raheem Sterling scored in the 47 minutes.

The former Manchester City forward fires home from inside the penalty from delighted cross from Mason Mount. 

The pass was intended for Aubameyang, but once the former Arsenal man missed it, Sterling reacted in style. He took one touch before curling the ball past Kohn.

SALZBURG DREW LEVEL FROM CHELSEA'S POOR DEFENSIVE CLEARANCE

Okafor draws the visitors level in the 74 minutes from Salzburg's attack down the right-hand side. 

It was Thiago Silva's poor challenge gave Adamu the chance to pounce. He composed himself before teeing up Okafor, who slotted home past Kepa.

Chelsea are currently bottom of Group E with two points while RB Salzburg are third.

The Blues will have to record victory in their upcoming game against AC Milan who are sitting comfortably on top of the table with four points.
