Ex Arsenal Star Mesut Ozil Confirms He's Surgery Due to Back Pain

Former Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has shared update on his injury as he prepares to undergo surgery. 

The former German footballer is currently playing as a creative midfielder for Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir. 

Mesut Ozil switched to Başakşehir this summer after he terminated his contract with fellow Turkish team Fenerbahçe. 

The Ex Real Madrid star revealed that he's set to undergo a surgery due to pain problem. 

Although, Ozil didn't reveal the length of his absence but remained optimistic about his quick recovery. 

He captioned the photo of him, "Unfortunately I will be out for a longer time. I will be undergoing a surgery this weekend to finally get pain free in my back again. I will try everything to get back on the pitch as soon as possible again. 💪🏼 Thanks for all your love & support."
