La Liga: Super Eagles star Sadiq Umar scores on debut as Real Sociedad held Atletico Madrid to draw (Highlights) 2022-23

Atletico Madrid were held to a 1-1 draw against Real Sociedad in their Saturday evening La Liga game. 

Super Eagles of Nigeria forward Sadiq Umar put a stunning performance on his debut for Sociedad. 

The Nigerian striker completed the switch to Real Sociedad from Almeria this just concluded transfer window. 

Sadiq Umar opened his scoring account for Real Sociedad just 10 minutes into his debut after he was introduced into the game. 

Morata gave the visitors the lead early in the first half when he turned in Carrasco's corner which had hit the post. He also had a second goal disallowed after Joao Felix handled it in the build-up. 

Sociedad rallied after the break, with Sadiq coming off the bench to nod in from very close range. He thought he'd won it late on with a lovely chip over Oblak, but the offside flag denied him.
