Former Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has decided to omit veteran goalkeeper Tim Krul from Holland's World Cup squad.
The 34 years old shot stopper future in the Dutch national team now looks uncertain after the manager axed him after he refused to take part in penalty test in training.

Tim Krul is well known for his saves when it comes to penalty but faces risk of missing the World Cup in Qatar this year.

On Tim Krul omission, Van Gaal said: "Krul called me to tell me that he will pass. I thought it was a shame, because I know that he stops the most penalties in terms of statistics."

Reportminds Blog understands that Krul has been omitted from the 25-man shortlist ahead of his country's upcoming Nations League fixtures against Poland and Belgium.

The former Manchester United boss said that the former Newcastle United goalkeeper career at national team might be over.

He said:"There is no future for him at the Orange, because he did not want to come. That is the consequence of his decision.

"I've always thought that you can train a penalty kick."

Van Gaal has backed the rest of his squad to perform beyond expectations at the Qatar World Cup which will kick off in November.

He concluded: "I have convinced the boys that they can do something with it, that players at the club will train for penalties.
