Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi bags Premier League player of the month nominee

Everton and Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi has been nominated for Premier League player of month for September. 

Alex Iwobi has been enjoying a decent form so far this term for Frank Lampard side. 

The Super Eagles of Nigeria star bags a nomination for Premier League monthly award with his stunning performances all through September. 

Although, the former Arsenal academy graduate could face serious competition from Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne, Tottenham Hotspur Emile Hojbjerg. 

Iwobi who is 26-year-old has bagged two assists in Everton’s last two Premier League games. 

The creative midfielder was included in the team of the week for match day six after Everton secured win over West Ham. 


Everton have congratulated their talisman with a new nickname, Iwobinho, a name which is becoming a real household figure at the Goodison Park. 




The other nominees are; Philip Billing (Bournemouth), Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), Jacob Ramsey (Aston Villa) and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (Tottenham Hotspur).




Meanwhile, Alex Iwobi is currently on international duty with the Super Eagles of Nigeria as they set for friendly against Algeria.
