The Red Devils secured their first three points of the season in the Europa League against Sheriff.
First half goals from Jadon Sancho and 37-year-old Ronaldo was enough for Manchester United away from home.
United took the lead from Jadon Sancho before Cristiano Ronaldo scored the second from the penalty spot.
The Portugal international was excited to score his debut goal in the Europa League as he makes his appearance in the playoffs competition for the first time in his career.
Prior to the Sherrif Tiraspol win, Ronaldo who is 37-year-old is yet to score or create an assist for Manchester United this term.
Ronaldo struck the ball into the back of the net as he raced to the corner flag to perform his famous SIU celebration.
He was pictured along with team mate Jadon Sancho who joined him in the celebration.
