Cristiano Ronaldo has scored his first goal in the Europa League as Manchester United lead Sheriff Tiraspol 2-0.

Manchester United travel to the Moldova Republic to face Sheriff Tiraspol on Thursday evening for their Europa League game.

If you recall that Erik Den Hag began their campaign in the Europa with defeat to Real Sociedad.

Cristiano Ronaldo got his first goal of the season from the penalty spot to put Man Utd 2-0 up away to Sheriff at half-time.

It's the first time that Cristiano Ronaldo will be playing in the second tier of club European tournament after playing in Champions League with Real Madrid and Juventus in the past.

Prior to the game, the 37-year-old hasn't scored a goal this term for Manchester United.

Ronaldo who looked excited was seen celebrating his goal with his team mate Jadon Sancho and Scott McTominay.
