Real Madrid captain Karim Benzema set to miss 3 three weeks with thigh injury

Real Madrid have confirmed that their striker Karim Benzema is set to miss three week due to injury. 


The French international is a professional footballer who plays as a striker Real Madrid. 

Real Madrid recorded victory against Scottish side, Celtic in Glasgow in their opening group game of the Champions League. 


Carlo Ancelotti side started their defense for the trophy with goals from Vinicius Jnr Luka Modric and Eden Hazard against Celtic away from home. 

During the game, Karim Benzema was substituted on the half-hour mark after he was replaced by Eden Hazard. 

Following the medical report from Real Madrid, Benzema has been diagnosed with two thigh injuries. 

Reportminds Blog understands that the captain of the Los Blancos injured his semitendinosus tendon and strained the quadricep muscle in his right thigh. 

GAMES KARIM BENZEMA WILL MISS.... 

The 34-year-old striker will be out of action until October 2, missing La Liga games against Real Mallorca and Atletico Madrid.

Benzema, who was Real's top scorer last season with 42 goals, will also miss Madrid's the Champions League home match against RB Leipzig.

The striker set to miss France's UEFA Nations League fixtures against Austria and Denmark.
