Super Eagles star Taiwo Awoniyi scores in Nottingham Forest defeat to Fulham in their Premier League match on Friday night.
The two newly promoted teams faced each other in a five goals thriller which saw Marco Silva side pick up the three points at the end of 90th-minute.
Taiwo Awoniyi who was handed a start in the game for Forest repaid the manager with the opening goal after 10 minutes.
It was the Nigerian second goal for Forest in the Premier League since he arrived this summer from Union Berlin.
The Nigerian forward was pictured dedicating his goal to almighty God as he knelt on the ground with his two hands up in the sky.
Although, a spirited Fulham side came back in the second half to score three goals to turn the game around.
Fulham scored all three goals under three minutes starting from Tosin Adarabioyo equaliser in 53 minutes.
Awoniyi is one of the future prospects in the Forest side following his arrival from Union Berlin in thr Bundesliga.
Reportminds Blog understands that the Nigerian striker bagged 13 League goals in 31 appearances for Union Berlin last season.
The 25-year-old joined Nottingham Forest on a five-year deal for transfer fee, £17 million which is a club record for the Premier League side.
Taiwo Awoniyi currently has four caps for Nigeria, scoring one goal since made his switch to play for Nigeria in 2021.
