"The arrival of a champion" - Barcelona announce signing of Marcos Alonso

Barcelona have annouced the signing of Marcus Alonso on a free transfer from Chelsea.

Marcus Alonso is a Spanish professional footballer who can play as a left back and wing back.

The towering defender joined Xavi Hernandez side at the Camp Nou after agreeing to terminate his deal with Chelsea, where he spent six years.

Barcelona confirmed Alonso has put pen to paper on a contract contract until 30 June 2023 and the buyout clause has been set at 50 million euros.

During the Spanish international spell at Chelsea, he won several trophies which includes; Premier League (2017), World Club Cup (2022), Europa League (2019), European Super Cup (2022), FA Cup (2018) and Champions League (2021).
