Tottenham's Richarlison confirms Chelsea and Arsenal made a bid to sign him

Tottenham Hotspur star Richardson has revealed that Chelsea and Arsenal tried to sign him during the transfer window.

The Brazil international completed his move to North London side for fee in the region of £50m.

Richardson who is currently on international duty with Brazil national team.

Speaking to Standard Sport, he said: “Yes, I know Chelsea made an offer in the summer… and I believe Arsenal contacted Everton to ask about my situation”.

The former Everton star scored twice as Brazil thrashed Ghana three goals to nil on Friday night. 

He added:“But Spurs came in and paid the fee, you know? It’s as simple as that”
