Atletico Madrid confirms permanent signing of Antione Griezmann for €20m from Barcelona

Atletico Madrid sign Antoine Griezmann from Barcelona.

The Spanish side have confirmed that the French forward has completed permanent deal to the Wanda Metropolitano stadium.

Antoine Griezmann was previously on two years loan from Barcelona but hasn't started any game so far under Diego Simeone.

It's been gathered that Atletico Madrid were keeping Griezmann on the bench in order to avoid paying Barcelona a certain amount of money if the French reaches specific game time.

But as it stands, Atletico and Barcelona have worked out a deal which has seen Griezmann join for €20m plus €4m add-ons .

This is Griezmann second spell at Atletico Madrid which he joined from Real Sociedad in 2014 for a then-club record €30 .

Recall that the 31 years old left Wanda Metropolitano stadium to Barcelona in a transfer worth €120 million, becoming the fifth-most expensive player of all time.
