Ex Real Madrid coach, Julen Lopetegui has been sacked by Sevilla

Sevilla have confirmed the sack of Julen Lopetegui after their poor start in the new season.

The Spanish club decision to sack their manager comes after their defeat to Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League.

Sevilla suffered the 4-1 home defeat to Dortmund in the Champions League at home on Wednesday night.

Recall that the former Real Madrid boss, Lopetegui had been in charge at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan since June 2019.

Sevilla are currently on a poor run of games this term in the La Liga, haven won just once in eight league games.

The Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan side sit one point above the relegation zone in the league table.
