Granit Xhaka swoops Arsenal player of the month of September

Granit Xhaka has been voted the Arsenal's player of the month. 

The Switzerland international scooped the Gunners best player for the month of September with his stunning performances. 

Xhaka has been displaying an impressive performance this term under Mikel Arteta. The central midfielder looked redefined in a new role in the Arsenal's attack. 

The former Gladbach who just turned 30 years old picked up 83% of the votes casted by the Arsenal fans. 

Xhaka created nine chances and completed 143 passes during the month of September. 

Meanwhile Gabriel Jesus came second with 8% of the vote, and Bukayo Saka in third on 6%. 

 Recall that Granit Xhaka was voted Premier League man of the match award during the Arsenal win over Tottenham Hotspur.

The Gunners defeated their arch rival in Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates stadium 3-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Thomas Partey put Arsenal in the lead but was cancelled with Harry Kane penalty. 

Xhaka scored the third goal after Gabriel Jesus put Arsenal back in the lead.
