"Jeremiah 29v11" - Super Eagles and Nottingham Forest star Taiwo Awoniyi quotes Bible passage after scoring against his former club Liverpool

Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi has taken to his social media space to express his excitement about his performance for Nottingham against Liverpool. 

The 25-year-old scored the winning goal for Forest against Jurgen Klopp men at the City ground on Saturday. 

Steve Cooper side recorded famous 1-0 win over Liverpool after Taiwo Awoniyi scored the only goal of the game in the 55th minutes. 

Taking to his social media platform, he quoted a scripture from thr Bible, "Jeremiah 29v11." 

... Jeremiah 29v11... Reads: " For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." 

Recall that Nigerian striker was a former Liverpool player but he didn't play any match for the Reds. 

He joined Bundesliga side Mainz on loan and later Union Berlin where he guided them to finish in Europa League spot with 15 goals in 31 games. 

Taiwo Awoniyi completed his club record move back to the Premier League this campaign for fee in region of £17 million.
