Real Madrid secured 1-0 win away from home against Getafe in their La Liga clash on Saturday night.
Brazlina defender Eder Militao scored the only goal of the game in the third minute to give his team three points.
Real Madrid move to the top of the LaLiga table after a narrow victory over Getafe. It was Militao who scored what turned out to be the winner just three minutes in, getting on the end of a corner from Modric and directing his effort past Soria.
The away side dominated throughout but couldn’t get a second to make their lead in the match a comfortable one. Valverde and Modric both struck over in the first half with Rodrygo forcing the goalkeeper into a save, but late drama in the first 45 minutes came through Vinicius.
Ancelotti’s side then had a flurry of shots from Rodrygo, Tchouameni and Modric before they thought they had breathing room. Leading the line, Rodrygo chipped the ball over Soria and into the net after latching onto a pass from Valverde, but VAR got involved to disallow the goal, with the 21-year-old in an offside position. Getafe did have one chance, with the ball falling to Duarte, but he drilled a low shot wide.
