Real Madrid have confirmed that Karim Benzema will miss their home game against Sevilla.
The Los Blancos will play Sevilla in front of their Santiago Bernabéu fans on Saturday evening. The game is expected to kick off at 8pm GMT.
The 34-year-old suffered "a minor injury problem that will keep him out of the game against Sevilla on Saturda," Real Madrid statement added.
Few days ago, Real Madrid star Karim Benzema was voted winner of the 2022 Ballon D'Or Award.
The 34-year-old has won the Ballon d'Or award for the first time in his career.
Karim Benzema deserve the award following his outstanding performance for the Los Blancos last term.
If you recall that Benzema guided Real Madrid to claim the UEFA Champions League as well as winning the Spanish League.
The French international finished top scorer in both competitions as he hit top form while spearheading the Los Blancos attack
Benzema was presented the award by former French legendary footballer Zinedine Zidane who also won the Ballon d'Or award 24 years ago.
Karim Benzema finishes top ahead of Bayern Munich Sadio Mane in second and Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne comes in third place.
