Robert Lewandowski scored the only goal for Barcelona in stoppage time as Xavi Hernandez side recorded 1-0 win over Valencia.
Barcelona were dumped out of the UEFA Champions League during the week after their defeat to Bayern Munich.
The Blaugrana needed a response against Valencia at the Mestalla on Saturday evening.

Lewandowski came closest in the first half of the game as he turned a cross in which Ansu Fati had scored a goal that was ruled out for offside.
Valencia then had a goal of their own ruled out in the second half, with Samuel Lino but was ruled out after Justin Kluivert had stuck a hand out to touch the cross on the way through.
Barcelona got the winner in the 90th-minute after they left it late in the game.
Lewandowski turned in a stoppage time cross from substitute Raphinha to give Xavi's side three points.
Although Barcelona also have injuries to think about after Jules Kounde and Eric Garcia also both went off with issues.
