Villarreal midfielder Alex Baena was sent off for his goal celebration against Almeria on Sunday evening.

Villarreal came from behind to secure win against Almeria in La Liga's matchday 11 fixture.

The Yellow Submarines finished the game with ten men after midfielder Alex Baena was sent off after he received his second yellow card.

It was Almeria that took the first-half lead before Villarreal scored two second-half goals through Alex Baena and Nicolas Jackson to claim the win.
Alex Baena was sent off for lifting his shirt to thank the Club's late vice president who passed away.

The midfielder was snapped displaying information on his T-shirt with the tribute message which reads, “Thanks For Everything.”

Alex Baena received his first yellow card in the 50th minute. The 21-year-old midfielder then received his second yellow in the 56 minutes after he raised his shirt but didn't remove it.
