Many football players who aren't participating in the 2022 FIFA World Cup have returned to their clubs ahead of the start of the 2022/23 season.

This is happening even though the tournament is taking place in Qatar right now. One of the clubs whose players resumed training today is Chelsea Football Club.

Take a look at some of the pictures taken today of Chelsea players practicing at the Cobham training facility in London.

Trevoh Chalobah who just signed a long term contract until 2028 was seen working with the ball.

The English defender wasn't included in coach Gareth Southgate 26 man World Cup squad.

Some rest of the players were seen taking part in some running drills as they build up their fitness ahead of the forthcoming second half of the season.

While coach Graham Potter was snapped chatting with his full back Marc Cucurella who wasn't called up by Spain.

The omission of Marc Cucurella comes as shock for many football fans given the 24-year-old attacking ability on the left hand side.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has ended his holiday as he returned to training. The 33-year-old wasn't involved in World Cup because his nation Gabon didn't qualify.

Aubameyang who hasn't found his feet since he arrived at Chelsea will make good use of the time to work on himself.

The former Barcelona star was seen holding hands in group session with Chalobah and Broja.

Despite the fact that some senior team members are still away on international duty, the majority of the players at the training facility today are development team members.
