Christian Eriksen got his name in the history books of Manchester United after their 2-1 win over Fulham on Sunday evening.

The Red Devils travelled to the Craven Cottage to face Marco Silva side on match day 16 fixture.

The former Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan midfielder was on scoresheet as Erik Den Hag side snatched vital three points.

Christian Eriksen opened the scoring in the first half of the game to give Red Devils the lead.

The Denmark international has become the first Danish player to score for Manchester United football club since 1995.

Recall that Eriksen joined Manchester United this summer on a free transfer after the expiration of his contract last season with Brentford.

The former Inter Milan has been impressive so far since he arrived at Old Trafford stadium.

The goal against Fulham happens to be Christian Eriksen first Premier League since he joined the club.

Meanwhile, Alejandro Garnacho scored the winner in the hard-fought victory, despite Daniel James equaliser for Fulham football club.

According to OptaJoe:

Christian Eriksen is the first Danish player to score for Manchester United football club since Peter Schmeichel versus FC Rotor Volgograd in the UEFA Cup in September 1995."
