Ex Brazilian star, Pele taken to hospital with swelling & heart issue as he battles cancer

According to local media, Brazilian football legend Pelé has been admitted to the hospital in Sao Paulo after developing swelling, heart problems, and mental confusion. 
Pelé is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time.His cancer treatment seems to have failed.


ESPN Brazil reported on Wednesday, citing unidentified sources, that Pele was admitted to Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo after the swelling "all over his body."He was also given a heart condition by the doctors who examined him.



ESPN Brasil reported that when Pele arrived at the hospital, he was extremely agitated and in a state of mental confusion.As he waits for additional tests, he remains in the hospital and is described as debilitated and having trouble feeding himself.


ESPN reports that Pele's chemotherapy appears to have been ineffective, despite the 82-year-old's cancer diagnosis.


In September 2021, Pele also spent time in the hospital after undergoing surgery to remove a colon tumor.He spent a few days in concentrated care however was subsequently delivered with plans to go through chemotherapy.
