Barcelona andcSpanish international Gerard Piqué has announce his retirement from football at age 35.
The defender is expected to play his last match for Barcelona this Saturday when Xavi Hernandez side face Almeria at home.
Pique who happens to a product of Barcelona La Masia since 2004 has enjoyed a successful career at Barcelona.
Although the 35-year-old joined Premier League side Manchester United where he played four seasons before he returned to Barcelona in 2008.
Pique has seen less game time under Xavi Hernandez whom he played along with years ago. He has made just three La Liga starts for Barcelona this term.
Meanwhile Piqué has also represented Spain 102 times, He retired from the national team after the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Achievements Of Gerard Pique
Pique helped the club win trebles in 2008–09 and 2014–15 under former manager Pep Guardiola.
He also played an integral role in the Spain teams that won the 2010 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2012.
