Tottenham confirm that Heung-Min Son is expected to be out for several weeks after undergoing surgery. 

The Spurs winger is expected to “undergo surgery to stabilise a fracture around his left eye” sustained during their mid week UEFA Champions League clash against Marseille. 

If you recall that Antonio Conte men sealed second spot to book round of 16 qualification after 2-1 win over Ligue 1 side. 


The South Korea international suffered the injury during the first half of Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League victory against Olympique Marseille.

Son collided with Chancel Mbemba in an aerial duel in the game which led to his fracture eye socket. 

Statement from Tottenham reads: "We can confirm that Heung-Min Son will undergo surgery to stabilise a fracture around his left eye."

Heun Mi Son will be unavailable for Tottenham Hotspur home game against Liverpool on November 6th on Sunday.

WILL SON PLAY FOR SOUTH KOREA AT WORLD CUP IN QATAR?
Heung Mi Son could still be available for the World Cup which is coming up in two weeks.

 The World Cup in Qatar starts on November 20, although South Korea will  play on November 24 against Uruguay. 

Heung Mi Son will lead South Korea against Portugal and Ghana in their other group games.
