How to download WAEC certificate online 2022

West African Examination Council, WAEC has launched digital WAEC certificate. This will allow WAEC certificate holders worldwide to access the original copies of their result.

What is a digital certificate?

A digital certificate is an electronic document used to prove a public key’s authenticity.

The digital WAEC certificate certifies the ownership of a public key in the name of the certificate’s subject. 

What are importance of the digital WAEC certificate? 

The digital WAEC certificate platform was launched on October 20 2022 as a web-based and mobile application designed for individuals, candidates, organisations and institutions.

WAEC certificate holders will be able to access, request, share, their certificate online.

The digital WAEC certificate platform, available to holders who have written the examination from 1999 till date. 

How to create a digital WAEC certificate account

You can follow these guidelines to set up your digital WAEC certificate account:

• Visit www.waec.org, click the ‘create account’ button and navigate to setting up the account.
• If you are a candidate, select ‘certificate access’; if you are an institution, pick ‘candidate confirmation’.
• Enter the information required, confirm the provided information and proceed to sign up (note: your name must be entered as it is on your WAEC certificate).
• Enter the authentification code sent to your email and click on ‘submit’.
• The next step is logging into your account using your registered email and password.”
