Kurt Zouma apologize for his kicking cat as West Ham star breaks silence after 9 months

West Ham star Kurt Zouma has addressed his actions following animal abuse few months ago.

The 28-year-old French international was caught on camera speaking to the club's media about the incident which he described "a difficult time during his career".

West Ham defender Kurt Zouma has broken his silence on the cat-kicking scandal. 

If you recall that Zouma, 28, was filmed attacking his pet by brother Yoan.

The 28-year-old pleaded guilty to two counts of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal. 

He was sentenced to 180 hours of unpaid community work, ordered to pay costs of £8,887 and banned from owning cats for five years.

He told West Ham TV: "It's been a difficult spell for me and my family. Obviously, I have done something very bad and I apologise again for what I've done. I know it was very tough for people to watch and to see that and obviously I feel very, very sorry.

"I have great remorse about it and now I'm trying to move on with my family and looking ahead. I learned from it, that’s the most important thing, I would say."

During this period, Kourt Zuma lost several endorsement deals and sponsorship due to his act which he said was" terrible. "

The former Chelsea and Everton defender was fined two weeks wages by West Ham and the RSPCA seized his two cats from him.

He went ahead to appreciate the effort of fnas and family members who supported him. 

Zuma said: "Obviously, I had support from many, many people around me who helped me stay focused on football and I try to stay happy."

Zuma brother Yoan, who filmed the incident and shared it on Snapchat, was ordered to carry out 140 hours of community service after being suspended by his club Dagenham & Redbridge for almost a month.
