Bashir Ahmed, the special assistant on digital communications to President Muhammadu Buhari, has congratulated the Senegalese team after their defeat of Ecuador in their final group A match.
Few Hours ago, the Lions of Teranga defeated the South American team Ecuador by two goals to one to secure their place in the round of 16 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
When Ismaila Sarr converted the sport kick in the 44th minute, he put the ball in the net.Moisés Caicedo, assisted by Felix Torres, scored Ecuador's equalizer in the 67th minute.
Surprisingly, Senegalese and Chelsea talisman Kalidou Koulibaly restored Senegal's lead three minutes after Ecuador had equalized.
This put Senegal second in the group A table, behind Netherlands.
Bashir Ahmed took to his official Twitter handle to celebrate the West African nation's victory.
