Real Madrid star Karim Benzema visited his former club in France with his Ballon D'Or Award.

Karim Benzema returned to his boyhood club 13 years later, and this time with the Ballon d'Or trophy to present to the fans. 

Recall that the 34-year-old France international picked up the award for the 2022 edition after his exploits for Real Madrid last term, winning UEFA Champions League and La Liga title. 

It was gathered that Karim Benzema received an home coming welcome from the fans and entire club members of Olympique Lyon. 

Karim Benzema was born in Lyon, France and he came through the club's youth system of the Ligue 1 side. 

Prior to his move to Santiago Bernabéu in 2009, Benzema won the Ligue 1 title three times with Lyon before he moved to Spanish side. 

Reportminds Blog understands that karim Benzema received hero's welcome from thousands of fans at the Groupama Stadium. There was a lot of fireworks minside Lyon's home ground as Benzema presented the Ballon d'Or to the watching crowd.
