Real Madrid star Karim Benzema ruled out of 2022 World Cup after he suffered injury in training

Karim Benzema has been ruled out of the FIFA World Cup 2022 with an injury.

The 35-year-old striker was initially part of Didier Deschamps team that made the trip to Qatar only for him to suffer an injury in the "11th hour" ahead of kick off.

The 2022 World Cup is expected to begin on Sunday Nov 20th, which the host nation Qatar will face Ecuador.

Karim Benzema, who was named the winner of the 2022 Ballon D'Or Award, suffered injury in training. 

Karim Benzema sustained the injury in training and has agreed with the French medical team and the coaching staff to leave.

The French international has been tipped to be a suitable replacement for Karim Benzema.
