This article, will take a look a three Chelsea players who can benefit from missing out from international duty during the World Cup.

Chelsea haven't been convincing this term since Graham Potter took charge at Stamford.

Prior to the World Cup break, the Blues suffered four consecutive defeats against Brighton, Arsenal, Manchester City and Newcastle United.

But Chelsea have these three players who have stayed back at Cobham training center to continue to build up to the second half of the season.

1. Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The Spanish goalkeeper missed out of Luis Enrique 26 man squad for World Cup, a decision which has shocked many fans. 

Kepa Arrizabalaga was back to his best since Graham Potter took charge at Chelsea. 

The Spanish international was in great form before he picked up injury against Brighton and consequently missed out on Spain call up. 

The former Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper will continue to work on his fitness at Cobham as he hope his Chelsea side can end the season on a high. 

2. Marc Cucurella.

Former Brighton Hove Albion full back enjoyed a great campaign with the Seagulls last term, which attracted interest from Chelsea. 

Cucurella completed the move to Stamford Bridge this season for fee in region of 75m pounds and he has been consistent with his performance with the Blues. 

But the Spanish player was left out of his national team for the World Cup in Qatar. Marc Cucurella will use this period to properly integrate into Potter team. 

3. Ruben Loftus-cheek. 

The England international was snubbed from coach Gareth Southgate 26 man World Cup squad. 

Ruben Loftus Cheek has played his way into the Chelsea first team this season. He has enjoyed a significant game time under Graham Potter. 

Despite being left out of the England's squad, this could help him get the needed rest ahead of second half of the season when the FIFA competition comes to an end in December.
