Saudi Arabia's players have paid tribute to their team-mate Yasser Al-Shahrani by holding up his No 13 shirt before their clash with Poland

Saudi Arabia's players paid tribute to their team-mate Yasser Al-Shahrani during their second group game against Poland. 

The Middle Eastern side clash with Poland on Saturday November 26th 2022. 

Prior to the kick off which was scheduled for 2pm GMT the players were snapped holding up his No 13 shirt before their clash with Poland.

Recall that Saudi Arabia had a dream start to their campaign at the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. 

Coach Renard side recorded 2-1 win over Argentina in their opening game during the week, after they came from behind. 

The match against one of the favorites in the competition, Argentina will be talked about for a very long time. 

On Saturday afternoon, 
Saudi Arabia's players were seen holding  their team-mate Yasser Al-Shahrani jersey No 13 shirt before their clash with Poland. 


It's been gathered that Al-Shahrani underwent the surgery following a sickening collision with his own goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais in Saudi Arabia's famous 2-1 win over Argentina earlier this week.

Al-Shahrani fell to the ground after colliding with Al-Owais in stoppage time and was carried off the pitch on a stretcher.

The defender is said to have suffered a fractured jaw, broken facial bones and internal bleeding during the horrific clash. The sad injury has ruled him out of the World Cup.
