Lionel Messi deserves another MOTM award since he has won the honor in each World Cup knockout game.
Messi will now have the chance to atone for the heartbreaking humiliation of falling to Germany in the 2014 World Cup final at Rio's legendary Maracana.
After 34 minutes, Messi scored the game's first goal from the penalty spot after Croatian goalie Dominik Livakovic fouled the rogue Alvarez.
Five minutes later, Alvarez increased Argentina's advantage. After the break, Messi mesmerized Croatia's star defender Josko Gvardiol on the byline before finding Alvarez for the finish. Messi is a Manchester City forward.
