Arsenal loan star, Tavares scores stunner for Marseille in their 6-1 thumping of Toulouse

Arsenal defender Nuno Tavares seems to have enjoying every moment of his loan spell with Marsielle. 

The 22-year-old Portugal defender was loaned to France after being unable to find a starting shirt at Arsenal under Mikel Arteta. 

Meanwhile, Tavares has continued to gather experience at Marseille since he arrived this season. 

Reportminds Blog understands that Nuno Tavares was on scoresheet in Marseille 6-1 against Toulouse. 

The 22-year-old Portuguese international started the game on the bench for tactical reasons, but he was substituted in for Sead Kolasinac in the second half, and he was allowed to perform at his highest level after that.

After entering the game, Nuno Tavares was a rock for the home team at the center of the defense line where he made some decisive and dangerous clearances to deny the visitor some clear-cut chances that could have been converted into goals. In addition, he advanced the ball up front, which led to him scoring the game-winning goal

Valentin Rongier and Rasmus Nicolaisen scored in the first half to give the home team a two-goal advantage at the break. In the second half, Sead Kolasinac, Dimitri Payet, Cengiz Under, and Nuno Tavares all helped the home team extend their advantage to six goals. 

The visitor also scored a consolation goal in the second half, though, as Van Den Boomen helped his team cut the deficit for a six-goal final score.

Nuno Tavares had so far scored three goals in 14 games for Marseille since he arrived.
