
Arsenal's target Mykhailo Mudryk have been named the Shakhtar Donetsk player of the year.
The Ukrainian club made the announcement on their social media platform, revealing that he has won the award for the second straight year.
Mudryk emerged the player of the year after 76 percent of fans voted for him following his impressive performance.
The 22-year-old has emerged a prime target for the Gunners who are looking to boost their squad in the January window.
If you recall that Mikel Arteta €40m + €20m bid for the Ukraine forward was rejected by the club few days ago.
It's been reported that Arsenal are considering making Shakhtar Donetsk an improved offer for Mykhailo Mudryk.
Shakhtar Donetsk have said to be asking for transfer fee in region of 70-80m euros for the signature of Mudryk.
We been told that personal terms with the 22-year-old isn't a problem as he wants the move to the Emirates Stadium.
If things go according to plan for Mikel Arteta, Mykhailo Mudryk could be playing his first game against Newcastle United on January 2nd.
