Oleksandr Zinchenko missed all three of Arsenal's mid-season friendlies through injury

When Arsenal returns to domestic competition on Boxing Day, they will attempt to pick up where they left off when they play West Ham in the Premier League.

Reportminds Blog understands that Six Arsenal players are currently absent from ahead of their London derby with the Hammers on Boxing day.

The Gunners were without Takehiro Tomiyasu and Emile Smith Rowe for their final game before the break. However, four more of Mikel Arteta's players have been forced into the treatment room over the past four weeks, which has caused him to be concerned about their fitness ahead of Monday.

Oleksandr Zinchenko:
Oleksandr Zinchenko has been plagued by injuries since joining from Manchester City in the summer and is currently out of action with yet another new issue.

Due to a setback in his long-term calf injury, the versatile left back missed all three of Arsenal's midseason friendlies against Lyon, AC Milan, and Juventus. Due to the additional time to regain his full fitness, it is hoped that he will return to action in time for Monday's match against West Ham.

Gabriel Jesus:

Gabriel Jesus, Arsenal's greatest injury blow, has been ruled out for the foreseeable future after undergoing surgery for a knee injury he sustained while playing for Brazil at the World Cup.

The former Man City forward suffered an average tendon injury against Cameroon on December 2 and was forced to return to London for treatment before beginning his lengthy recovery process. As a result, he may now be unable to work for up to four months.

Reiss Nelson:

Reiss Nelson may now face a further setback after struggling to get game time this season and limping off the field during Arsenal's 2-0 loss to Juventus in the final mid-season friendly on Saturday.

The winger had begun the two games against Lyon and AC Milan during a warm-weather conditions instructional course in Dubai. Arteta said he doesn't know how much of an injury he has, but he scored against AC Milan. He might not play against West Ham as a result.

Takehiro Tomiyasu:

Right back Takehiro Tomiyasu sustained his new hamstring injury while playing for Japan in the World Cup. Tomiyasu missed Armory's last three games before the break, but he recovered and played multiple times for Japan in the World Cup.

However, after playing all 120 minutes in their semifinal loss to Croatia on December 5, Tomiyasu sustained a new hamstring injury. Notwithstanding this, Arteta has since offered a positive update with respect to the 24-year-old.

Albert Sambi Lokonga:

Albert Sambi Lokonga was left out as a precaution against Juventus last weekend

Albert Sambi Lokonga was forgotten about as a safety measure against Juventus last end of the week. In the wake of getting injured last week, midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga desires to be completely fit for Armory's vacation match against West Ham.

The Belgian had started both of Arsenal's friendly matches against Lyon and AC Milan earlier this month, but he was unexpectedly left out of the matchday squad for the weekend's match against Juventus.

However, Arteta's decision to leave the 23-year-old out as a precaution was also made public. As a result, Lokonga should be ready to play for the team when West Ham comes to town on Monday. The injury is not thought to be serious.

Emile Smith Rowe:

To be ready for Arsenal's match against West Ham on Boxing Day, Emile Smith Rowe faces a race against time. He is unlikely to play, even though he is getting closer to recovering from his long-term groin injury.

The 22-year-old, who has been out since September, is expected to resume training this week, according to CBS Sports. According to CBS Sports, Arsenal and the player are "taking their time to make sure he is 100 percent ready on his return," so Boxing Day will be too soon for him.
