Chelsea star Mateo Kovacic posed with his son, Ivan after Croatia round of 16 victory against Japan

Chelsea Star Mateo Kovacic has taken to his social media space to share adorable snap of himself and his baby boy. 

The midfielder was excited after his Croatian side advanced into the quarter final after their victory over Japan. 

Mateo Kovacic played a key role in Croatia victory against Japan in the round of 16 on Monday evening. 

The game was decided by a penalty shoot out after 1-1 draw at the end of 90th-minute including extra times.

Croatia who looked to be more experienced team between the two nations scored four from their five penalties while, Japan missed three scoring just one. 

After the match, the Chelsea star was pictured carrying his son on hi shoulder with the caption which reads: "Ivan letting me know we are in the Quarter Finals." 

Meanwhile Croatia will now face Brazil in the quarter-finals match in Friday at 4pm GMT kick off.
