N'Golo Kante has been ruled out until February

It's less than a week away from the return to Premier League, the Blues face Bournemouth, but Graham Potter's team is still plagued by injuries. They may be without a number of important first-team players on December 27, when they play Bournemouth in the Premier League for the first time.

The Blues were without six players for their 1-0 loss to Newcastle prior to the international break, and three more players have been added to the injury list ahead of next week. On the other hand, there is a glimmer of hope that some will return on Tuesday to face the Cherries.

The players' anticipated return dates for those who are injured are as follows:

N'Golo Kante:
N'Golo Kante will remain sidelined for the foreseeable future as he continues to recover from a serious hamstring injury that has kept him out of action since the second game of the season.

In October, the Frenchman resumed training, but a subsequent setback in his recovery eventually necessitated surgery. Kante will be down and out until basically February, regardless of the way that he has expanded his recovery endeavors since.

Reece James:

Reece James, a defender for Chelsea, may finally be ready to return to action when Chelsea play Bournemouth next week after intensifying the final stages of his recovery during the World Cup break.

James was ruled out of England's World Cup squad after sustaining a knee injury in October against AC Milan. However, he is one of three players expected to return for Graham Potter's team on December 27 as reported by The Athletic.

Additionally, James' 60-minute appearance in Chelsea's recent friendly victory over Brentford behind closed doors has been made public, indicating that the 23-year-old is almost certain to contribute when Chelsea resume domestic play next week.

Kepa Arrizabalaga:

Kepa Arrizabalaga, a Spanish shot-plug, continues to be a question mark ahead of Chelsea's matchup with Bournemouth as he continues his recovery from a prolonged foot injury.

In the match against Brighton that ended 4-1 on October 29, the Blues substituted the goalkeeper. However, he is well into his rehabilitation and could be back for Chelsea's Premier League match next week.

Wesley Fofana:

Although Chelsea's summer signing Wesley Fofana has had a slow start, he is getting closer to recovering fully from a knee injury that kept him out for two and a half months.

When he was brought on as a substitute against AC Milan on October 5, the Frenchman was ruled out of the World Cup. Fofana, on the other hand, has been forced to withdraw from Chelsea's Tuesday match against Brentford, raising a new injury concern for him.

Ben Chilwell:

Ben Chilwell, the left back, was ruled out with a new long-term issue after the 2-1 victory over Dinamo Zagreb on November 2. This season, Chilwell has suffered a terrible number of injuries.

Similar to James, he was disqualified from England's World Cup squad, and it was anticipated that the 26-year-old would miss up to three months. Chilwell was with the team when they went to Dubai for their midseason training camp, but he probably won't play against Bournemouth.

Ruben Loftus Cheek:

Ruben Loftus-Cheek, a Chelsea midfielder, remains a question for Tuesday's matchup with Bournemouth as he continues to recover from a calf injury.

The injury prevented the Englishman from participating in the Blues' friendly against Aston Villa earlier this month; however, an update is anticipated prior to Bournemouth's visit. On November 12, the Blues' final home match before the World Cup was a 1-0 defeat to Newcastle.

Carney Chukwuemeka:

The young midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka is another player who might play again when Chelsea plays Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on December 27.

Since the beginning of November, the former Aston Villa player has been out with a hamstring injury. On the other hand, he is believed to be making good progress with his recovery and has resumed first-team training.

Armando Broja:

In the 1-0 friendly defeat to Aston Villa on December 11 in Abu Dhabi, the backup striker Armando Broja suffered a knee injury. As a result, he will miss the remainder of the season.

Forward for Albania saw his boot stall out in the turf, getting his knee in an abnormal position and causing him a ton of torment on the field. Following the rupture of his ACL, Chelsea has confirmed that he will require extensive reconstruction.

This means that he won't play again until the start of the next one, which means Broja's season is over and he won't play again for at least eight to nine months.
