English international, Dele Alli was left on the bench in Besiktas' 1-1 draw with Gaziantep on Christmas Day.
The former Tottenham Hotspur star was treated to a festive fixture when the Istanbul giants traveled to Gaziantep, a team in the middle of the table, on Sunday afternoon.
Alli has been struggling to get back to his best which he displayed at Tottenham Hotspur. The 26-year-old didn't have a Christmas to remember because he spent the entire 90 minutes on the bench.
Alli was seen watching his team play out the 1-1 draw is likely to have further undermined his self-confidence. The hosts took the lead through Joao Figueiredo, but Wout Weghorst leveled the score four minutes later.
It was gathered that Besiktas' home fans booed Dele after he was brutally hooked after just 30 minutes in the previous match against Sanliurfaspor, a second-tier team.
Besiktas trailed by 2-0 after 30 minutes before their Manager Senol Gunes had to substitute Atiba Hutchinson and Dele Alli.
The former Tottenham midfielder was booed mercilessly by irate fans as he left the pitch.
Besiktas fought back to secure a 4-2 victory for the Turkish giants and heavy favorites.
