Edouard Mendy has supposedly dismissed another six-year contract with Chelsea as the club are not showing him enough 'regard' in regards to compensation.
Mendy signed for the Blues in 2020 for £22 million from Rennes in France. Since then, he has played 104 games for the club.
He at first featured at Stamford Extension as he assisted guide them to the Bosses With leaguing title in 2020-2021 - winnining FIFA's best goalkeeper grant in 2021 - before a mix of injury and an absence of structure prompted him losing his place as best option plug this season.
Additionally, Mendy has rejected a new six-year contract at the club due to a wage dispute, as reported by The Sun. His current contract runs out in 2025.
According to the report, the 30-year-old goalkeeper makes roughly half of his rival Kepa Arrizabalaga's weekly salary.
Mendy is said to want a salary that is comparable to Kepa's, who is the most expensive goalkeeper in the world after signing with Athletic Bilbao for £72 million in 2018.
Chelsea have now supposedly removed their underlying proposal to Mendy trying to stand firm during the dealings and there is an agreement deadlock between the two gatherings.
There are three clubs that are reportedly keeping an eye on his situation and would be interested in making a move for the goalkeeper if an opportunity presented itself. These clubs are AC Milan, Nice, and Monaco.
Mendy was a member of the Senegal team that lost to England in the World Cup's last-16 after winning the African Cup of Nations earlier this year.
During his time with Chelsea, he also won the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup. This season, he started as the first-choice keeper.
Mendy, on the other hand, made a number of high-profile mistakes as the team's form declined under Thomas Tuchel, and Kepa took Mendy's place in the team.
However, Mendy took his place at halftime when the Spaniard injured himself in Chelsea's 4-1 loss to Brighton and played in their final two Premier League games before the World Cup break.
He has appeared in 11 games this season and will now compete with Kepa for the position of Graham Potter's primary goalkeeper in the second half of the season.
