The Eden Hazard of Real Madrid has made the decision to declare his international football retirement.
Hazard, the captain of Belgium, made his international football retirement official on Wednesday.
Less than a week have passed since Belgium was eliminated from the Qatar-based 2022 FIFA World Cup.
If you recall that Belgium national team failed to qualify out of their group following their defeat to Morocco in their final game.
Hazard confirmed his retirement from international football at age 31 after 126 appearances and 33 goals.
Hazard thanked his followers for their unmatched support in a message on his Instagram account. I appreciate you sharing all of this joy with me since 2008."
The Real Madrid player continued, "I have chosen to terminate my international career. The following is prepared. You will be missed.
