When Papiss Cisse played for Newcastle United in the Premier League, he was dating a former Miss Newcastle. However, he told her he was going on vacation before getting married to someone else.
When the striker told model Rachelle Graham he was leaving for abroad, she was shocked to see pictures of him at his wedding to volleyball star Diallo Awo in Paris.
Due to social media images, Rachelle was able to witness her love getting married in a lavish reception. Cisse insisted he had no other girlfriends at the time, and she spoke to the media about the event.
Previously Miss Newcastle Rachelle Graham was astonished and saddened by what happened.
Later, it was revealed that other women, including Natalie Gibson, the owner of a dance studio, thought they were dating the striker at the time.
Natalie claimed that she and Cisse had been forming long-term plans despite the fact that Natalie had not been a football fan prior to their meeting.
Having just spent a lot of time with Papiss, Miss Graham expressed her disappointment and disgust when she learned of his secret marriage to The Sun at the time.
But if this is what he has decided to pursue with his life, there is little I can do to stop him. I only wish he had the courtesy to inform me first.
Cisse posted a snap of wife Diallo back in May of 2020, alongside the caption: "Happy mother's day to my beautiful wife and my beautiful mum."
Between 2009 and 2015, Cisse made 36 appearances for his country, scoring 17 goals. He is still a player at the club level today.
The 37-year-old played for Shandong Luneng, Alanyaspor, Fenerbahce, and Caykur Rizespor before joining Amiens this year after leaving Newcastle in 2016.
