France squad hit by illness ahead of World Cup semi-final with Morocco

Reportminds Blog understands that before facing Morocco in the World Cup semifinal, the France team is sick.

It's been gathered that several players in the camp of the Les Blues are down with illness.

However, there have been some problems leading up to their semi-final match against Morocco. France is preparing their final assault on what could be a historic second consecutive World Cup.

Karim Benzema, Paul Pogba, Ngolo Kante, and Lucas Hernandez are just a few of the players that have been sidelined for Didier Deschamps both before and during the competition.

With the exception of the match against England, France has handled such absences effectively and has recovered rather quickly. They advanced to the quarterfinal thanks to an outstanding Antoine Griezmann effort.

According to MD, France may now have to play without two of its starting players for the whole of the competition. Dayot Upamecano and Adrien Rabiot are two people who have been affected by the flu in the French camp.

Given how tight the semi-final is, it may affect their ability to begin on Wednesday night. As a result, Deschamps could need to change his starting eleven. Ibrahima Konate of Liverpool would be the obvious pick to take Upamecano's spot, however Rabiot would be more difficult to replace. Eduardo Camavinga of Real Madrid would have a good chance of starting with colleague Aurelien Tchouameni, although he may choose Youssouf Fofana instead.
