Erling Haaland was the star man of the match after scoring to give Manchester City the lead against Liverpool in fourth round of EFL Cup. 

The Norway international has continued from where he ended before the World Cup break as he extended his goal record in the shirt of Manchester City. 

FIFA, the world's governing body of football, has responded to Erling Braut Haaland's goal in his Carabao Cup debut against Liverpool on Thursday night at the Etihad Stadium. Haaland plays for Manchester City football club.

Prior to the FIFA World Cup break, the former star of Borussia Dortmund football club had been outstanding for Manchester City football club. On Thursday night, he was able to dazzle once more by scoring a memorable goal for the squad.

Along with Riyad Mahrez and Cole Palmer, Erling Braut Haaland opened his team's assault, and the trio excelled in the exciting match.

Riyad Mahrez gave Manchester City football club a 2-1 lead in the 47th minute, and Mohamed Salah brought Liverpool football club back in front in the 48th minute with a goal assisted by Darwin Nunez. Nathan Ake then scored the game-winning goal for the home team in the 58th minute with another assist from Kevin De Bruyne to make the score 3-2.

Erling Braut Haaland played in his first-ever Carabao Cup game against the Liverpool football club, and he already has a goal in the competition.
