Man U boss Erik Den Hag takes former United striker Robin Van Persie out for dinner (Photos)

Erik Den Hag, the manager of Manchester United, was seen on Monday night with Robin Van Persie.

The former Manchester United forward was taken out to dinner, according to Reportminds Blog's understanding of the Dutch manager.

In the city center on Monday night, United manager Ten Hag brought Van Persie and their agent Kees Vos to the upscale Tattu Chinese restaurant. After their meal, the two were seen chatting outside in the chilly weather.

Van Persie is investing time at United's Carrington training facility to advance his coaching career in preparation for management.

Recall that Van Persie, who has 58 goals in three seasons and the 2012–13 Premier League championship, is well-versed in what it takes to score goals at Old Trafford.

Van Persie is one of the best people to bounce ideas off of if Ten Hag wants to improve his offensive options after United mutually terminated Cristiano Ronaldo's contract at the beginning of the World Cup.

One of those targets is PSV Eindhoven's Cody Gakpo, and Van Persie, a fellow Dutchman, is intimately familiar with Gakpo's abilities from his time as Feyenoord's assistant manager.

Gakpo, who is valued at £50 million, is reportedly a top target, and Ten Hag is a fan of Gonçalo Ramos, a striker for Benfica who replaced Ronaldo in Portugal's starting lineup at the World Cup before their elimination by Morocco.
